If you book a trial with me, when we first meet, I will get to know you and the type of look you would like. You can come to my home studio and we will have an in depth consultation over a cup of tea.  Drawing on my vast collection of products from leading cosmetic houses and professional brands, I will consider the shades and formulas that will work best for you. I will not rest until you are absolutely delighted with the finished look.

On your Wedding Day choosing your bridal makeup and hair style is as important as choosing your dress.  We want to make sure you look back at your photographs and know you looked at your most beautiful, polished flawless all day, but still you. 

​

Should I have my hair up? or down? straight or curled hair?

 

What colour lipstick should I wear? Will my make-up last the whole day?

 

All of the above questions can be answered by having a trial.

It is advisable to book for a trial 6-8 weeks before your wedding day.

We would normally need about two-three hours.  The trial is essential for both you and for a Make-up artist to ensure your hair and make-up runs smoothly on the day.

To assist us with your hair and make-up trial it would be great if you could have details of your wedding dress as well as any personal make-up likes and dislikes.

A few photographs/pictures of hair and make-up that you like are a great help in communicating the look you are aiming for.

 

We can explore different styles, find a look that matches your wedding gown or evening dress, I will listen intently to your views and ideas and we can create a look that highlight your best features and one that is tailor made especially for you.

Whether it be an engagement, graduation ceremony, birthday party, job interview, prom or a dinner date, or anytime you want to look and feel fabulous!  If you have the perfect outfit then why not complement this with the perfect make up finish, sexy and sophisticated, graceful and polished, or a more youthful and pretty look, the choice is yours. You will receive a beautiful bespoke make-over with a dazzling look that will last all night, complement your whole outfit and look and make you beaming with confidence.

Before your event, we will discuss in detail the look that you are after.  It is helpful if you can send me a recent photo of yourself and an idea of the hair and make up style you have in mind.  On the day of your Special Occasion, you can either come to my home studio, or I can come to your home or the chosen location and create the make up and hair that you desire for your special event.  (Travelling fee will be applied if outside of 5 miles Radius of Dartford)

I will take mystery out of the makeup world, teach you which are the correct products for your skintype and skintone and how to apply those products like a pro! A makeup lesson will also save you a fortune in the long run as they'll be no more  bad makeup purchases .

At the end of the lesson you’ll look amazing, feel revitalised and walk away with a spring in your step, feeling fabulous and armed with newly acquired skills and tips to accentuate your unique features and highlight your individual beauty, you will be wishing you’d done this years ago!

 

By the time you finish you will have more confidence with your makeup application and a greater understanding of the best and most appropriate makeup products to enhance your natural beauty and highlight your unique features. 

 

During the lesson, we will look through your existing makeup kit (please have it with you, no matter how big or small!) to assess which products are suitable and which you might need to replace.  I will give you a makeover, applying the makeup step by step and guide you through the best products and colours to suit your skin type and highlight your best features, creating a look that is most flattering to you.  You will learn how to use the best makeup that is suited to you and the best brushes to give you the most flawless finish  in which only a professional will know how to.   I will then complete a face chart and email you a full list of products and tools that was used so you will be able to apply and recreate the beautiful looks at home using the insider tips and knowledge that you have picked up during the lesson.  

​

Makeup lessons are also great for brides who wish to learn how to apply their own makeup on their wedding day or brides getting married abroad who don't want to chance a foreign makeup artist abroad doing their makeup.

 

A lesson takes roughly 3 hours.

 

COST: 120 pounds for a one to one three hour session 

150 pounds for a one to one five hour session

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOOKING:

 

By accepting the booking you are accepting to terms and conditions below:

 

Once you have made an enquiry and all relevant information has been received, we will supply a quote and confirm availability.

​​

For both wedding and special occasion bookings, once you have confirmed you want to book with Touch of Radiance, a deposit of 50% is payable in advance to confirm your booking.   Unpaid deposits will result in your date not being secured.  The outstanding balance is to be paid 7 days before the actual date of event. 

​

The booking fee covers all administration and secures your date.  Please note that the booking is not final until the booking fee has been paid in full and Touch of Radiance has confirmed receipt of it.  

​

The booking payment must be paid within 48 hours of availability being confirmed as after this time has expired, you will need to recheck availability.  The booking fee is non refundable and non transferable and shall be applied towards the total fee for the services and will be set out in the payment schedule. ​

 ​

Trial fee is to be paid via bank transfer upon booking the trial date, please use your name as a reference and inform us that you have made payment, we will then confirm receipt of it. 

​

The trial fee is payable no less than 7 days before the trial date.  Please allow up to 4 hours for the whole trial. This trial fee is not refundable.

​

Once the trial is completed and you would like to book our services for your wedding day/special event, a deposit of 50% will need to be paid to secure the date (this can be paid in cash at the trial or paid via Bank Transfer) and the remainder of the balance due for the services shall be paid 7 days before the wedding date via bank transfer.   In the event that the client fails to remit payment as specified, Touch of Radiance have the right to immediately terminate the Agreement with no further obligation to refund money. 

 

An extra 100 pounds Trial fee is applied for any extra trial sessions.

 

Special Occasion Hair and Make Up is timed for 4 hours maximum.

​

For late bookings (anything later than 4 weeks before the event date) payment is required in full to secure the date. 

 

If for any reason you would like to cancel the booking, the deposit is fully refundable if cancellation is requested up to 6 weeks before your wedding/booking date. Any cancellations occurred under stated period are non-refundable. 

 

For private client (non - brides) bookings for party/night out/ special occasion makeup and hair services the cancellation is non-refundable if the cancellation is requested less that 7 days prior to the booking date.

Travel to Venue within 5 mile Radius of Dartford is free. 

Travel expense of 20 pounds is applied for bookings located outside of the 5 mile Radius.  Additional fee charged at the rate of £ 0.50p per mile for the return journey.

This fee also applies to the trial run if arranged on location other than my home in Dartford.

Additional charges may apply for congestion charge zone and parking fees.

Image Usage

​

Please note that pictures will be taken at trials and on the wedding day and may be featured on our website and social media, should you prefer us not to use your pictures for this purpose please ensure to make this clear.

 

The client hereby agrees that Touch of Radiance Bridal Hair and Makeup may publish, exhibit and use images from the event for marketing purposes.

Allergies

​

Please be reassured that all brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup session.   It is the client's responsibility to report to the Artist of any known allergies, skin conditions or skin sensitivities that they may have prior to the appointment.  

 

Please ensure you notify the Artist of any known allergies or illnesses that may cause a reaction to any hair or cosmetic product being applied prior to application.  If necessary, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test for reactions so a consultation is highly recommended prior to the event date if you know that you have skin sensitivity.  The client hereby agrees to release Touch of Radiance Bridal Hair and makeup from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. 

 

Lashes are included in the Makeup costs, they are applied with latex glue for easy removal, which can be removed with an oil based eye makeup remover or Miscellar water.   Please do notify us if anyone suffers with latex allergies.

 

On location requirements

​

The location of the Hair and Makeup Service to be carried out for the day of the event will need to have the following:  

 

A set of table/work area to be made available for the Artist to lay out all the products, tools and equipment.

​

Working electrical sockets must be made available for plugging in the appliances such as tongs and heated rollers.

​

The room must have ample lighting, preferably by a window to allow for optimal natural lighting in order for the makeup service to be performed properly.

​

A chair or stool so the client can be seated whilst receiving the service.  

​

Please also remember to wear a top that is buttoned or a dressing gown for easy removal once the hair and makeup is completed. 

​

A little note to you about what we will do to make sure that all of us are as safe as possible during these unprecedented times. We have carried out a full Covid 19 Risk assessment and especially prepared for this.  Although we have always adhered to high hygiene standards, we will continue to increase our knowledge as the circumstances keeps changing. To ensure the health, safety and welling being of  our clients and our team we will adhere to a strict hygiene policy: 

 

We will take care of all the surfaces and make up products to keep them virus free, sanitising all the surfaces with antibacterial spray and wipes, sanitising all makeup products with antibacterial sanitising spray before and after the makeup and hair styling sessions.

​

We will be using PPE as much as needed  (masks, face covering, visors) We will be washing our hands properly and regularly before and after each makeup and styling sessions. 
 

What you will need to do for us:  

​

1. Please, let us know about your health (do you have any symptoms, are you in vulnerable group, are you or someone in your family not feeling well etc.).  If you have a temperature, cough, feel unwell then we will have to reschedule your appointment.  

 

2. Please, wash your hands before leaving your home. I will also ask you to wash your hands or apply antibacterial hand sanitiser when you arrive to my studio. 

 

3. To keep both parties as safe as possible we ask that you come alone and not bring any company (I know it might be hard as the presence of your mum or best friend next to you is irreplaceable). 

 

4. If I am coming to your place, please make sure that the contact with other members of your family/household is reduced to a minimum and that all surfaces are disinfected and ready to use for my service. 

 

5. All payments must be made online via bank transfer and in advance (including the bridal trials). 

 

However, there might be some exceptions or alterations to the points listed above - we will use our common sense to adhere to most of them and adapt to any changes that may arise.  By working together as a team and respecting each other we will be able to keep us all healthy happy and safe.  Look forward to meeting all you wonderful brides to be and I am so excited to hear all about your plans. hopes and dreams for your magical day.  In the meantime happy wedding planning! keep safe and well, most importantly, don't forget to take time out for some selfceare, to relax and unwind.  Establishing a good skincare routine and indulging in a few pampering masking and facial sessions, whether it be at home or at a salon will work wonders and get your skin in tip tip condition so that you will be glowing from the inside out and dazzle your groom and guests alike on the big day!  xxx
